GameplayĪlthough Mortal Kombat: Shaolin Monks is a spin-off title with its unique structure and gameplay, the combat will feel immediately familiar to fans of the series. In order to stop Shang Tsung and protect the world, Liu Kang and Kung Lao must journey across the land and brave the otherworldly horrors of Outworld. Upon arrival, the characters learn that Shang Tsung has begun a proper invasion of Earthrealm, attempting to conquer it despite the outcome of the tournament. As the building around them begins to collapse, the pair head back to the Wu Shi Academy, led by their mentor and guardian of the Earthrealm, Raiden. At the end of the first Mortal Kombat tournament, pandemonium breaks out as Liu Kang and the evil sorcerer Shang Tsung go head-to-head, ultimately ending in Shang Tsung's retreat. You can see out on the far side of the room and you need to break the four center sections of the wall.Shaolin Monks takes place directly after the events of the original Mortal Kombat, focusing on the two fighters Kung Lao and Liu Kang. at the end youll come to an area with a purple portal. You will then be in a new area thats just a jaged path with putrid corpses and masked guards. You will then grab a tree coming out of it and climb up. Grab the first one and jump to the second and jump towards the temple. in the first area, near the save poin, there are two branches near the temple like thing. You need the climb and swing ability to do this, go to the living forest.
Repeatedly press BLACK or R2 to kneel before a save shrine until you are satisified with your lifebar. When a player uses a save shrine in the game, he regains a portion of his lifebar whether you actually save or not.
